Chilewich

The Set Up

Chilewich is a design-forward home brand known for modern placemats, floor mats, and utility products that blend function, texture, and style. Heading into Prime Day 2026, the account was already moving: May was the highest-grossing month in account history, June beat it, and Hachiman, a newer premium line, was emerging as a seasonal growth opportunity. It was Aisle3's first Prime Day with the brand, and the goal was to set the benchmark for what a fully prepared catalog could do.

A premium catalog ready for its first real test

Chilewich had the demand. Prime Day required more than turning on discounts. The catalog was large, variation-heavy, and split across two brands, the event came earlier than the original inventory plan assumed, and record May and June sales were already eating into heavy-up stock. Aisle3 had to prepare the full catalog, layer the right deals on the right products, protect against FBA constraints, and stay hands-on-keys once demand started moving.

  • Ran full-catalog promotions across a variation-heavy, two-brand assortment
  • Best Deals on Bamboo Placemats and Hachiman Buckets, discounts across the rest
  • Extended the window with lead-in coupons and post-event retargeting
  • Ran 35% of event revenue through FBM, backstopping FBA when stock ran thin
  • Managed suppressions, fulfillment toggling, and ad optimizations in real time
  • Helped align Amazon with DTC by reducing competing off-Amazon ad pressure

Record sales, improving economics

Most brands accept a trade during Prime Day: sales go up, efficiency goes down. Chilewich got both.

Four days delivered more than 16 days' worth of baseline sales, 107% of forecast on 79% of planned ad spend, with TACoS improving 30% during the most expensive auction days of the year. Organic sales grew faster than paid, and organic share of revenue rose during the event. That's a year of catalog structure and retail readiness converting peak traffic without needing ads to carry the load.

Prime Day is not just a discounting event. It is an operating test, and Chilewich came prepared. The brand leaned into full-catalog participation, moved fast on recommendations, and pulled back competing DTC spend so Amazon had a clear lane.

Hachiman moved 340 units, 24% of event units at roughly six times its trailing velocity, and FBM carried 35% of event revenue to keep hero products live when FBA ran thin, while Aisle3 handled suppressions, fulfillment toggling, and ad adjustments in real time. Lead-in coupons and post-event retargeting treated the event as a window rather than four days on a calendar.

The window is still open. Sales have held 17% above the pre-event average since the event ended. A year earlier, the same event did $19K on a catalog in its infancy. One year of full-catalog work later, it did $129K at better efficiency than an average week, then raised the baseline on its way out. Prime Day didn't create Chilewich's demand. It revealed how much of it the account was ready to capture.

Aisle3 helped us hit a huge revenue milestone in under a year. Lots of great stuff ahead. Thanks for your hard work!
